It's taken you months, possibly years, to get to where you are today with your health. This means your road to resilience will not be a day or week long. Becoming resilient takes time and requires you as the client to put in the work. Claire will be along side you, supporting you throughout the whole process, but ultimately your success is up to you.
If you don't understand what's happening in your body, the chances of you following through with a protocol are very slim. Claire will spend time with you giving you thorough, easy to understand explanations so you feel empowered and ready to start your journey!
Claire called started out as a "self taught nutritionist" when Western medicine was failing her. In 2014 Claire was in college and started experiencing horrible digestive issues, constipation and daily bloating. The only answer doctors gave her was to take a daily laxative. This didn't sit right with her. So, she scoured the internet to look for other avenues of healing.
She spent hours on the researching, listening to podcasts by practitioners and watching hundreds of YouTube videos to try and find some kind of natural remedy to heal her. This led her to cutting out meat, dairy and eggs and adopting a high carb/low fat diet. She thought this would be the answer. But unfortunately after 3 years of eating this way, she had to be honest with herself and realize that her issues had only gotten worse. She even started facing additional health issues.
Once Claire began reintroducing meat, eggs and balancing out her macro-nutrients with more healthy fats, she started to feel like herself again! She had more energy, her daily bloating started to slowly go away and her bowel movements began to regulate. She even had an added bonus: she lost those extra 5 lbs that never seemed to budge. The best part of it was that this happened without having to "diet" or count calories.
It was amazing for Claire to see how her body responded when she fed it properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole foods. This inspired her to take her knowledge from self taught to certified. Through her two nutrition certifications she's expanded her knowledge to include high quality supplements, lifestyle changes, toxic exposure reduction and Functional Blood Chemistry. Claire was also mentored by Sharon Brown, Clinical Nutritionist and owner/founder of Bonafide Provisions. Sharon had a thriving nutrition practice of her own and has graciously passed down her wealth of knowledge to Claire (which Claire will be forever grateful for).
After a very busy year, Resilient Health and Wellness was born! But the learning doesn't stop there for Claire. She takes part in weekly Doctor led webinars, online seminars and classes that are taught by Professional Practitioners and Functional Medicine Doctors.
